Practice Area


Mr. Eckhardt's home-based law practice is limited to preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney and living wills as well as providing advice and assistance to businesses in forming corporations and limited liability companies, all by appointment only. As he works from his home, as a convenience for his clients and to keep fees low, he comes to residents of Sun City West, Sun City Grand and Surprise to meet at their residences or businesses. With over 33 years experience as an attorney, Mr. Eckhardt is also available as a mediator or arbitrator for alternative dispute resolution hearings.


Background


A native of the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Eckhardt graduated from Washington State University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

He graduated from the University of Idaho Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1974.

Mr. Eckhardt is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona. He is also an inactive member of the Bars of Washington State and California.

Mr. Eckhardt served in both the Marines and Air Force as a judge advocate, retiring to Arizona in 1993, where he was in private practice until joining the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in 1996. There he prosecuted felonies involving impaired driving.

Mr. Eckhardt was appointed as a Maricopa County Superior Court Commissioner and Judge Pro Tem in January 2001, serving until February 2005.
